الجيريان اكيبرس: قالت السلطات الصحية في مدينة ووهان الصينية، التي نشأ فيها فيروس كورونا، إن المدينة أجرت 222675 اختبار حمض نووي يوم 16 مايو، وهو ما يقرب من ضعف عدد الفحوص في اليوم السابق له.

وبدأت في ووهان يوم 14 مايو حملة فحوص لتعقب الأشخاص الذين يحملون الفيروس دون أن تظهر عليهم الأعراض، بعد أن أكتشفت في مطلع الأسبوع الماضي أول مجموعة إصابات بكوفيد-19، منذ رفع قيود العزل العام في المدينة في الثامن من أبريل.

ويزيد عدد الاختبارات (الفحوص) التي تم إجراؤها في 16 مايو، في هذه المدينة التي يبلغ عدد سكانها 11 مليون نسمة، عن تلك التي تم إجراؤها في 14 و15 مايو، البالغة 186400 اختبار، وكانت أيضا هي الأعلى منذ أن بدأت لجنة الصحة في ووهان في نشر البيانات في 21 فبراير شباط.

وتجري ووهان الاختبارات على أساس طوعي. وسيتم إخطار أولئك الذين تأتي نتائج فحوصهم إيجابية في أقرب وقت ممكن.
