ألجيريان إكسبرس: قالت الصين، اليوم (الاثنين)، إنها سوف ترد من خلال إجراءاتها العقابية، على العقوبات الأميركية المفروضة ضد ستة مسؤولين من الصين وهونغ كونغ، في أعقاب الاعتقالات الجماعية للنشطاء المؤيدين للديمقراطية بالإقليم.

وفي حديثها للصحافيين ببكين، أدانت المتحدثة باسم وزارة الخارجية الصينية، هوا تشونينغ، العقوبات الأميركية، ووصفتها بأنها «تدخل فاضح» في الشؤون الداخلية لهونغ كونغ والصين.

وقالت إن الصين سوف ترد بـ«عقوبات متبادلة» ضد مسؤولين أميركيين وأعضاء في الكونغرس وموظفين في منظمات غير حكومية، وأقاربهم الذين «يتصرفون بصورة فاضحة ويتحملون مسؤولية كبيرة» فيما يخص هونغ كونغ.

وكانت الولايات المتحدة فرضت يوم الجمعة الماضي عقوبات على اثنين من كبار المسؤولين في القيادة الشيوعية ببكين، وأحد نواب البرلمان من هونغ كونغ في مجلس الشعب الصيني، وثلاثة من أفراد شرطة هونج كونج.

وجاءت تلك الخطوة في أعقاب اعتقال أكثر من 50 ناشطاً مؤيداً للديمقراطية في هونغ كونغ، في أكبر صفعة للمعارضة منذ دخول قانون الأمن الوطني المثير للجدل حيز التنفيذ في الأول من يوليو (تموز) الماضي.
