وقالت الرابطة الوطنية للوسطاء العقاريين يوم الاثنين إن مبيعات المساكن القائمة هبطت 9.7 بالمئة إلى وتيرة سنوية معدلة في ضوء العوامل الموسمية عند 3.91 مليون وحدة الشهر الماضي، وهو أدنى مستوى منذ أكتوبر تشرين الأول 2010.

وتعكس مبيعات الشهر الماضي إغلاق عقود وقعت في مارس وأبريل . وكان اقتصاديون استطلعت رويترز آراءهم قد توقعوا أن تنخفض مبيعات المساكن القائمة ثلاثة بالمئة إلى 4.12 مليون وحدة في مايو أيار.

وانخفضت مبيعات المساكن القائمة، التي تشكل حوالي 90 بالمئة من مبيعات المساكن في الولايات المتحدة، 26.6 بالمئة على أساس سنوي في مايو أيار، وهو أكبر نزول سنوي منذ عام 1982.
