كشفت شركة جيب النقاب عن الموديل الجديد من أيقونتها “غراند شيروكي” Grand Cherokee، التي تعد واحدة من أبرز وأشهر سيارات الأراضي الوعرة في العالم.
وأوضحت الشركة الأمريكية أن سيارتها الجديدة تقف على منصة جديدة تماماً مع تعليق أحادي العجلة وممتصات صدمات متوائمة وثلاثة أنظمة دفع رباعي مختلفة وتعليق هوائي يتيح إمكانية تغيير الخلوص الأرضي، مما يسهم في تحسين خصائص القيادة في الأراضي الوعرة.
كما تزخر السيارة الجديدة بالعديد من الأنظمة المساعدة والتجهيزات المتطورة مثل قمرة قيادة رقمية ومرايا إلكترونية ومرآة لمراقبة الأطفال في الخلف.
وعلى صعيد الدفع تعتمد السيارة على سواعد محرك بنزين V6 سعة 6ر3 لتر وبقوة 213 كيلووات/290 حصان أو محرك V8 سعة 7ر5 لتر وبقوة 255 كيلووات/357 حصان.
وتتوفر السيارة أيضاً بنسخة طويلة XL تشتمل على ثلاثة صفوف، كما تتوفر السيارة بموديل فاخر يحمل الاسم Summit ويتألق بخشب الجوز والجلد المطرز المصنوع يدوياً. وتخطط الشركة أيضا لطرح نسخة تعتمد على سواعد محرك كهربائي.
