هاجمت سمكة قرش رجلا كان يسبح في نهر سوان (نهر البجع) بمدينة بيرث الأسترالية، يوم الخميس، حيث قضمت فخذه في أول هجوم من هذا النوع في النهر منذ1969.

ورجح مسؤولون أن الرجل تعرض لهجوم من سمكة من فصيلة القرش الثور طولها بين مترين وثلاثة أمتار وهو يسبح صباحا قبالة ساحل محمية بلاكوول ريتش في بيرث.

ونقلت رويترز عن متحدثة باسم خدمة الإسعاف المحلية إن الرجل نُقل إلى مستشفى بيرث الملكي في حالة خطيرة.

وذكرت وسائل محلية أن الرجل في الخمسينيات وحالته مستقرة.

وتشتهر مدينة بيرث في غرب أستراليا وسواحلها بانتشار أسماك القرش الأبيض الكبير، وشهدت عدة هجمات من هذه الأسماك. وفي الأسابيع الماضية أغلقت السلطات بعض الشواطئ بسبب زيادة ظهور القروش في المنطقة.

وتندر هجمات القرش في نهر سوان الذي يصب في المحيط عند مدينة فريمنتل الساحلية جنوبي بيرث. وكان آخر هجوم من هذا النوع في المنطقة في 1969.
