ابتكر علماء بريطانيون ضمادة معجزة لإصلاح العظام المكسورة، حيث تعمل المادة الحيوية على تسريع الشفاء بشكل كبير، ومن المقرر أن تحدث ثورة في علاج الكسور.

ويمكن استخدام هذه التقنية، الموصوفة في مجلة Nature Materials، لإصلاح الأنسجة والأعضاء التالفة الأخرى.

وقال المعد الرئيسي الدكتور شكري حبيب، من “كينغز كوليدج” لندن: “إن تقنيتنا هي أول ما قام بهندسة نسيج شبيه بالعظام من الخلايا الجذعية العظمية البشرية في المختبر في غضون أسبوع واحد، وزرعه بنجاح لبدء الإصلاح”.

ويتضمن الكوكتيل الكيميائي الخلايا الجذعية – الخلايا الرئيسية التي يمكن أن تتحول إلى أي نوع من الأنسجة أو الأعضاء – وخلايا العظام الناضجة. وهي مغلفة ببروتين يستخدم في جميع أنحاء الجسم للنمو والإصلاح، لمحاكاة أجزاء من العظام السليمة.

وقال الدكتور حبيب: “هذه الضمادة يمكن أن تلتصق بالكسر مثل الجص، وتعزز القدرة الطبيعية للعظام على الالتئام، ما يسرع عملية الإصلاح. هذه الطريقة الجديدة تحسن الترميم وقد تغير طريقة علاج كسور العظام”.إقرأ المزيد

ويمكن تسريعها أكثر عن طريق توليد خلايا العظام في هلام ثلاثي الأبعاد على الضمادة – وزرعها في الكسر.
