الجيريان اكسبرس: أكدت الحكومة اليابانية أنها تنوي رفع حالة الطوارئ المفروضة في الجزء الأكبر من البلاد، لكن ليس في المناطق ذات الكثافة السكانية العالية مثل طوكيو، بعد تراجع في إصابات فيروس كورونا.

وقال وزير الاقتصاد الياباني، ياسوتوشي نيشيمورا، إن السلطات ترغب في رفع هذه الإجراءات قبل الموعد الذي كان محددا لذلك، في 39 من المناطق الـ47 في البلاد.
وأضاف: “لدينا تأكيد بأن عدد الإصابات الجديدة انخفض مجددا إلى أقل من المستويات التي سجلها في مارس عندما بدأ انتشار المرض”.

وكانت وسائل الإعلام المحلية قد لفتت مؤخرا إلى أن الحكومة ستبحث الوضع في المناطق الثماني التي ستستمر فيها حالة الطوارئ، بما فيها طوكيو وضاحيتها الكبيرة أوساكا.

وتم تسجيل 55 إصابة جديدة يوم الأربعاء في البلاد، بينها عشر في طوكيو، ليصبح إجمالي الإصابات حوالي 16 ألف إصابة وإجمالي الوفيات 687 وفاة.

وفي مواجهة ارتفاع عدد الإصابات في مارس، فرضت الحكومة حالة الطوارئ مطلع أبريل في طوكيو أولا ثم في ست مناطق أخرى وأخيرا في جميع أنحاء البلاد، وكان يفترض أن تستمر حالة الطوارئ شهرا واحدا، لكنها مددت حتى 31 مايو.
