الجيريان اكسبرس: قال مسؤولون حكوميون، الخميس، إن مسؤولا مدنيا كبيرا في وزارة الدفاع أصيب بفيروس كورونا، ويخضع للعزل المنزلي، في حين سجلت حالات الإصابة اليومية ارتفاعا قياسيا جديدا.

وذكرت وزارة الصحة أن عدد الإصابات بالفيروس بلغ 216919 إصابة، بعد تسجيل 9304 حالات جديدة في الـ24 ساعة الماضية.

وتشهد مدينتا دلهي ومومباي، المكتظتان بالسكان، زيادة في عدد حالات العدوى، مع رفع الحكومة إجراءات العزل العام التي فرضتها في مارس.

وسجلت الهند 6075 وفاة بالفيروس.

ووكيل وزارة الدفاع أجاي كومار هو أعلى مسؤول حكومي يصاب بالفيروس الذي أصيب به أيضا مسؤولون في وزارات المالية والخارجية والعدل، يقطنون في مجموعة مبان على مساحة مترامية الأطراف في وسط دلهي.

وقال مصدر بوزارة الدفاع إن الوزير راجنات سينغ يعمل في الوقت الراهن من المنزل بعد ثبوت إصابة كومار بالفيروس.
