الجيريان اكسبرس: قالت وزارة الخارجية الإثيوبية إنها ستبدأ في إعادة نحو 2000 مهاجر تقطعت بهم السبل في السعودية ابتداء من الأسبوع المقبل.

ويأتي هذا الإعلان بعد أن ذكرت صحيفة التلغراف البريطانية أن مئات، إن لم يكن الآلاف، من المهاجرين الإثيوبيين قد تم احتجازهم في ظروف مزرية في مراكز الاحتجاز في السعودية للحد من انتشار فيروس كورونا.

وأفادت أن الظروف كانت مروعة لدرجة أن الناس كانوا يموتون بسبب ضربة الشمس أو المرض أو الانتحار.

وذكرت صحيفة التلغراف أن وثيقة مسربة بختم القنصلية الأثيوبية في مدينة جدة حذر الإثيوبيين من “التداعيات القانونية” إذا استمروا في تحميل الصور ومقاطع الفيديو من مراكز الاحتجاز على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي.

ونفت وزارة الخارجية أنها رفضت مساعدة المهاجرين الذين تقطعت بهم السبل، لكنها قالت إنها مقيدة بالموارد. وألقت باللوم على تجار البشر في محنة المهاجرين.
