علنت الأمم المتحدة أن ثقب الأوزون فوق القطب الجنوبي، الذي بلغت مساحته مستوى قياسيا في خريف عام 2020، اختفى تماما في نهاية شهر ديسمبر الماضي.

وقالت المنظمة العالمية للأرصاد الجوية، التابعة لهذه المنظمة الأممية، إنها تؤكد ما أعلنته يوم 6 يناير الجاري بأن “ثقب الأوزون في القطب الجنوبي التأم بعد 4 أشهر من ظهوره” موضحة أنه “الأضخم منذ أن بدأ الرصد” في هذا المجال.

وكانت المنظمة العالمية للأرصاد الجوية قد حذرت في مقر الأمم المتحدة بجنيف في شهر أكتوبر من العام الماضي، بعد دراستها الغلاف الجوي بالتعاون مع وكالة “كوبرنيكوس” لمراقبة الغلاف الجوي التابعة للاتحاد الأوروبي، حذرت من كون ثقب الأوزون فوق القطب الجنوبي قد وصل إلى أقصى مداه عام 2020 وأصبح من بين الأكبر والأعمق في السنوات الأخيرة.
