أفاد مركز إديسون للأبحاث بأن تقدم المرشح الديمقراطي جو بايدن في ولاية نيفادا يتراجع إلى 20352 صوتا، أمام منافسه الجمهوري دونالد ترامب.

وقال المركز إنه بعد فرز 92 في المئة من الأصوات في نيفادا، حصل بايدن على 49.8 في المئة مقابل 48.1 لترامب.

وفي وقت سابق، كان الفارق بين بايدن وترامب في ولاية نيفادا يبلغ 22076 صوتا.

في المقابل، ارتفع هامش تقدم بايدن في بنسلفانيا إلى أكثر من 13 ألف صوت، بعد فرز 98 في المئة.

وتستمر عدد من الولايات في فرز وإحصاء الأصوات، فيما يترقب أن تعلن النتائج شبه النهائية بعد ساعات قليلة.

ويملك بايدن حاليا 264 مقعدا في المجمع الانتخابي، ويحتاج إلى الفوز بواحدة من الولايات المتأرجحة حتى يرفع رصيده إلى 270 مقعدا ويصبح رئيسا للولايات المتحدة.

وشهدت انتخابات الرئاسة الأميركية مقاربة شديدة بين المرشحين تتوقف على هوامش ضيقة للغاية في حفنة من الولايات، في حين صعد ترامب مساعيه القانونية للتأثير على فرز الأصوات وأطلق اتهامات جديدة بشأن بتزوير الانتخابات.
