الجيريان اكسبرس: أمرت سلطات ولاية كاليفورنيا، يوم الأربعاء، بإخلاء حوالى 500 منزل عقب حريق غابات هائل انتشر بسرعة شمال لوس أنجليس ودمر أربعة آلاف هكتار من الأراضي.

واندلع الحريق بعد الظهر حول بحيرة هيوز ودمّر أولا مساحة صغيرة تبلغ 20 هكتارا، قبل أن يمتد ويأتي على أربعة آلاف هكتار خلال ما يزيد قليلا عن ثلاث ساعات، وفقا لإدارة الإطفاء في مقاطعة لوس أنجليس.

وعمل أكثر من 300 رجل إطفاء مدعومين بمروحيات وطائرات للسيطرة على الحريق. وفقا لوكالة الصحافة الفرنسية.

وقالت إدارة الإطفاء على “تويتر”، “يجري إجلاء سكان المنطقة” من قبل الشرطة المحلية “الرجاء مساعدتنا لنتمكن من مساعدتكم وإيصالكم إلى بر الأمان”.

وازداد عدد الحرائق وارتفعت وتيرتها خلال السنوات الأخيرة في ولاية كاليفورنيا ويعود ذلك جزئيا إلى ظاهرة تغير المناخ.

وكان حريق “كامب فاير” الذي اندلع في شمال كاليفورنيا في نوفمبر 2018، الأعنف بعدما أتى على مدينة باردايس الصغيرة برمتها وأدى إلى وفاة 86 من سكانها ودمار 90% من أبنيتها.
