الجيريان اكسبرس: أعلنت السلطات البريطانية أنه سيتم توزيع الملايين من وسائل الاختبارات القادرة على اكتشاف فيروس كورونا خلال 90 دقيقة على المستشفيات ودور المسنين والمختبرات خلال الأشهر المقبلة.

وقال وزير الصحة البريطاني مات هانكوك، إن تلك الوسائل ستضم 5,8 مليون اختبار باستخدام الحمض النووي و45 ألف اختبار باستخدام المسحات. ولن تحتاج أي من الوسيلتين لمسؤولي صحة محترفين.

وأضاف أن “حقيقة قدرة هذه الاختبارات على اكتشاف الإنفلونزا إضافة إلى كوفيد-19 ستكون مفيدة جدا مع اتجاهنا لفصل الشتاء، ومن ثم يمكن للمرضى اتباع النصيحة السليمة لحماية أنفسهم والآخرين”.

من ناحية أخرى، قالت هيئة الصحة الوطنية ذات التمويل العام إنها ستوفر علاجات “تتوافق مع كوفيد-19” لمرضى السرطان تشمل عقاقير ليس لها تأثير كبير على جهاز المناعة.

وتعرض نظام الرعاية الصحية في بريطانيا لضغوط شديدة خلال فترات ذروة تفشي كوفيد-19 الذي أودى بحياة أكثر من 46 ألف شخص، لتصبح رابع أكبر دولة في العالم من حيث عدد حالات الوفاة من كورونا، وفقا لحصيلة جمعتها “رويترز” أمس الأحد.
