الجيريان اكسبرس: أعلنت السلطات المصرية، يوم الأحد، الإفراج عن 5532 سجين، بمناسبة حلول عيد الفطر الذي يحل هذا العام، وسط أجواء غير مسبوقة بسبب تفشي فيروس كورونا المستجد (كوفيد 19).

وقام قطاع السجون في وزارة الداخلية المصرية، بعقد اللجان لأجل فحص ملفات نزلاء السجون على مستوى الجمهورية، لتحديد مستحقي الإفراج.

وجاء الإفراج تنفيذا لقراري رئيس الجمهورية رقم (231 – 232) لسنة 2020 بشأن الإفراج بالعفو بالنسبة لبعض المحكوم عليهم الذين استوفوا شروط العفو بمناسبة الاحتفال بعيد الفطر.
ويجري الاحتفال بعيد الفطر، هذا العام، في مصر على غرار دول العالم الأخرى، تحت إجراءات صحية مشددة لأجل تفادي انتشار فيروس كورونا.

وتطبق مصر إجراءات عزل عام منذ مارس، شملت إغلاق المدارس والجامعات والأندية الرياضية والمقاهي وأماكن التجمعات الكبيرة، كما تفرض حظر تجول جزئيا.

وفي وقت سابق من مايو الجاري، أصدرت هيئة كبار العلماء بالأزهر برئاسة الإمام الأكبر أحمد الطيب شيخ الأزهر، بيانا للمسلمين حول العالم بشأن الأحكام المتعلقة بصلاة العيد، في ظل استمرار تفشي فيروس كورونا المستجد.
