شدد مستشار الأمن القومي الأميركي، روبرت أوبراين، الأحد، على أن صحة الرئيس دونالد ترامب “جيدة”.

وقال أوبراين، في تصريح صحفي، إن ترامب يشعر بحالة جيدة، مشيرا إلى أنه “لا داعي لنقل سلطاته لنائبه مايك بنس بالوقت الحالي”.

وأوضح المسؤول الأميركي أن الرئيس يريد العودة إلى البيت الأبيض “لكنه سيبقى في المستشفى لفترة أخرى من الوقت على الأقل”.

وفي وقت سابق، نشرت إيفانكا ترامب، ابنة الرئيس الأميركي صورة له أثناء تواجده في مستشفى عسكري نقل إليه إثر الإعلان عن إصابته بفيروس كورونا يوم الجمعة الماضي.
وقالت إيفانكا في تغريدة لها على حسابها في تويتر مرفقة بالصورة: “لا شيء يمكن أن يمنعه (ترامب) من العمل من أجل الشعب الأميركي. لا يلين”.

وكان ترامب قد ظهر في فيديو قصير الليلة الماضي، قال خلاله إنه شعر بالتعب إثر إصابته بفيروس كورونا، لكنه بات يتحسن حاليا.

واعتبر ترامب أن الأيام المقبلة ستكون “الاختبار الحقيقي” في معركته مع فيروس كورونا.
