الجيريان اكسبرس: قررت “مرسيدس بنز” سحب أكثر من 1.3 مليون سيارة لأن البرامج الموجودة في أنظمة مكالمات الطوارئ الخاصة بها يمكن أن ترسل المستجيبين إلى الموقع الخطأ بعد تعرض السيارة لحادث.

وتأتي هذه الخطوة بعد أن علمت “مرسيدس” بحادث تصادم في أوروبا حيث أرسل نظام مكالمات الطوارئ التلقائي بيانات خاطئة عن موقع السيارة المتضررة.

وبدأت الشركة التحقيق في أكتوبر 2019، وسجلت حالات أخرى مماثلة وقال متحدث باسم الشركة.

ويغطي الاستدعاء العديد من السيارات من عام 2016 إلى عام 2021، بما في ذلك تلك المصنفة CLA وGLA وGLE وGLS و SLC وA وGT وC وE وS وCLS وSL وB وGLB وGLC وG.

كما أعلنت شركة Daimler Vans التابعة للشركة عن سحب سيارات Metris 2020-2016 ومركبات Sprinter لعامي 2019-2020.

وقالت “مرسيدس” إنها ستبلغ المالكين المتأثرين وستحدث أنظمة البرامج بدون مقابل، وفقا لملفات وزارة النقل الأمريكية.

ومن المتوقع أن يبدأ سحب السيارات في 6 أبريل.
