أعلنت النائبة الديمقراطية الأمريكية إلهان عمر أنها ستتقدم بعريضة لمحاكمة الرئيس دونالد ترامب وعزله من منصبه بعد أن شجع مؤيديه على اقتحام وحصار الكابيتول.

وكانت وكالة “رويترز” أفادت مساء اليوم الأربعاء، بأن محتجين مؤيدين للرئيس المنتهية ولايته دونالد لترامب اخترقوا الحواجز الأمنية المحيطة بمبنى الكابيتول واحتلوا منصة تنصيب الرئيس المنتخب جو بايدن.

وأضافت الوكالة أنه تم إغلاق مبنى الكونغرس مع تجمع أنصار ترامب خارجه أثناء جلسة بحث التصديق على فوز بايدن.

وأفادت بأن مجلس الشيوخ علق مناقشة نتائج المجمع الانتخابي، فيما أشارت شرطة الكابيتول إلى اختراق مبنى الكابيتول وإغلاقه.
