قال الوكالة الكورية الجنوبية للسيطرة على الأمراض والوقاية منها إنها سجلت 926 حالة إصابة بالفيروس، بانخفاض عن مستوى قياسي بلغ 1097 في اليوم الذي سبقه.

من جهتها أعلنت لجنة الصحة الوطنية في الصين إن البر الرئيسي سجل 23 حالة إصابة جديدة بفيروس كورونا أمس الأحد وهو نفس العدد المسجل يوم السبت.

وقالت لجنة الصحة الصينية في نشرتها اليومية إن 21 من الحالات الجديدة قادمة من الخارج.

وذكرت اللجنة أنها رصدت 15 حالة إصابة خالية من الأعراض يوم الأحد ارتفاعا من عشر حالات في اليوم السابق.
ويصل بذلك العدد الإجمالي لحالات الإصابة المؤكدة بكوفيد-19في الصين إلى 86852 بينما يظل عدد الوفيات ثابتا عند 4634.

وأدى الارتفاع الأخير في عدد الإصابات بفيروس كورونا في كوريا الجنوبية إلى إرباك الجهود المبذولة لاحتواء المرض مما دفع لنفاد أسرّة المستشفيات في البلاد، مما يثير النقاش حول ما إذا كان ينبغي على الحكومة أن تفرض صرامة في تدابير التباعد الاجتماعي
