الجيريان اكسبرس: أعلنت وزارة البيئة الموريتانية، نفوق نحو 245 من أفراخ البجع و24 من طيور البجع بسبب فيروس “إتش5 إن1” في محمية وطنية قريبة من منطقة في شمال السنغال أصيبت بالفيروس.

وتم اكتشاف الطيور النافقة في “حوض” تابع للمحمية الوطنية “لجاولينغ”، التي تقع على الجانب الموريتاني من دلتا نهر السنغال، ويوجد بها ما يزيد على 250 نوعا من الطيور.

وقالت وزارة البيئة الموريتانية في بيان، السبت، إنه في سياق التعامل مع هذا التفشي تقرر “الإغلاق التام للمحمية في وجه الزوار، ووقف جميع الأنشطة فورا”، وفق ما ذكرت وكالة رويترز.

يأتي ذلك في أعقاب اكتشاف المئات من طيور البجع النافقة في 23 يناير، في محمية طيور سنغالية على الجانب الآخر من النهر. وتأكد لاحقا أنها نفقت بسبب فيروس “H5N1”.
