ألجيريان إكسبرس – تجمع الآلاف، اليوم السبت، في ساحة الطرف الأغر بلندن للاحتجاج على عمليات الإغلاق وقواعد التباعد الاجتماعي المفروضة لإبطاء انتشار كوفيد-19.

وحذرت شرطة العاصمة في لندن المتظاهرين من عدم اتباع قواعد التباعد الاجتماعي. وقالت قبل الحدث إن عناصرها سيتعاملون أولاً مع المحتجين وسيشرحون قواعد التباعد الاجتماعي، لكنهم قد يتخذون إجراءات لإنفاذ القانون إذا استمر المتظاهرون في عدم الامتثال.

ومع بدء الاحتجاج، شوهدت الشرطة حول أطراف الحشد لكنها لم تواجه المتظاهرين، ومعظمهم لم يكن يضع كمامات.

وقال إيدي أديليكان، الذي يقود عمليات شرطة العاصمة: “أعلم أن هناك إحباطًا كبيرًا من هذه اللوائح، لكنها صُممت لإبقاء الجميع في مأمن من فيروس قاتل. من خلال هذا التجمع الصارخ بأعداد كبيرة وتجاهل التباعد الاجتماعي، فإنك تضع صحة وصحة أحبائك في خطر”.

تأتي المظاهرة في الوقت الذي يستعد فيه البرلمان لمراجعة تشريعات كوفيد-19.

وفرضت الحكومة قيودًا جديدة للسيطرة على المرض. وانتقد بعض المشرعين الحكومة لتطبيقها القواعد دون موافقة البرلمان.
