أعلنت خدمة الطوارئ في جزر الكناري، اليوم الأربعاء، أن خدمة الإنقاذ البحري والحرس المدني الإسباني أنقذا أكثر من 300 مهاجر تم العثور عليهم على متن قوارب في البحر.

وجاء في بيان خدمة الطوارئ: “أنقذت خدمة الإنقاذ البحري والحرس المدني مساء الثلاثاء أكثر من 300 مهاجر كانوا في البحر على متن 11 قاربا”.

وأضاف البيان “نُقل مهاجرون من أحد القوارب إلى بلدية أريسيفي بجزيرة لانزاروت، والباقون إلى مدينة أرغوينغوين بجزيرة غران كناريا”.

وتابع “قام الأطباء بفحص المهاجرين وأكدوا وفاة أحدهم. وتم نقل 6 أشخاص آخرين إلى المستشفى”.

وسبق أن أعلنت السلطات الإسبانية حالة الطوارئ بسبب الهجرة غير الشرعية إلى جزر الكناري.

وتشهد إسبانيا أكبر تدفق للمهاجرين إلى جزر الكناري منذ عام 2006، وخلال الشهر الأخير وصل هذا العدد إلى أكثر من 8 آلاف إفريقي، قدموا عن طريق البحر إلى الجزر، ما يساوي عدد القادمين منذ بداية العام حتى منتصف أكتوبر الماضي.
