تراجعت أسعار الذهب، اليوم (11/08/2020)، حيث دفع صعود نسبي في قيمة الدولار مقابل بقية العملات بعض المستثمرين لجني مكاسب المعدن النفيس الذي صعد لمستوى قياسي بلغ أكثر من ألفي دولار أمريكي للأونصة.

تمتلك السعودية أكبر احتياطي عربي من المعدن النفيس بمقدار 323 طنا في حين يمتلك لبنان الذي يعاني من أزمة اقتصادية خانقة ثاني أكبر احتياطي عربي بـ 286.8 طن من الذهب. في المرتبة الثالثة أتت الجزائر باحتياطي ذهب مقداره 173.5 طن.

ليبيا أتت في المرتبة الرابعة باحتياطي 116.6 طن وجاء العراق في المرتبة الخامسة بـ 96.2 طن.

مصر و الكويت حلتا في المرتبتين السادسة والسابعة باحتياطي ذهب بلغ 79.5 و 78.9 طن على التوالي. في حين تمتلك قطر 42.2 طن من الذهب و الأردن 37.3 طن لتحتلا بذلك المرتبتين الثامنة والتاسعة عربيا. بينما جاءت الإمارات في المرتبة العاشرة باحتياطي 31.3 طن من المعدن النفيس.
