استقال براءت البيرق، وزير المالية التركي السابق، صهر الرئيس التركي رجب طيب أردوغان، من منصبه كنائب لرئيس صندوق الثروة السيادي في تركيا.

وأكد بيان صادر عن دائرة الاتصال في الرئاسة التركية، أن براءت البيرق، وأردا إيرموت، المدير السابق لمكتب الاستثمار الرئاسي التركي، طلبا الإعفاء من عضوية مجلس إدارة صندوق الثروة التركي”، فيما تم تعيين “أحمد بوراك داغلي أوغلو من قبل الرئيس أردوغان”، حيث يتولى أردوغان منصب رئيس الصندوق، منذ إنشائه في العام 2016.

وكان وزير المالية التركي السابق، براءت البيراق، قد قدم في الثامن من الشهر الجاري استقالته من منصبه لأسباب تتعلق بـ”حالته الصحية”.

وسبق أن شغل البيرق، منصب وزير الموارد المائية والطاقة من 2015 وحتى 2018، وتسلم حقيبة وزارة المالية والخزانة عام 2018.

وتزامنت فترة أدائه مهام وزير المالية والخزانة مع أزمة اقتصادية حادة عصفت بتركيا التي شهدت هبوط عملتها الوطنية “الليرة” حوالي 4 مرات مقابل الدولار الأمريكي.
