توفي الفنان المصري القدير عزت العلايلي اليوم الجمعة عن عمر ناهز 86 عاما.

ونعى نجله محمود العلايلي والده، في منشور على موقع “فيسبوك”: “توفى صباح اليوم والدى الفنان عزت العلايلي، تقام صلاة الجنازة بعد صلاة العصر بجامع المروة بجوار مستشفى دريم لاند”.

وعزّى الفنان أشرف زكي نقيب المهن التمثيلة عائلة العلايلي، ونشر عبر حسابه في تطبيق “انستغرام” صورة للفنان الراحل، وعلق عليها قائلا “البقاء لله فارس الدراما العربية”.

والعلايلي حاصل على بكالوريوس المعهد العالي للفنون المسرحية عام 1960، لكنه لم يبدأ مسيرته التمثيلية فور تخرجه بسبب رعايته لأخواته الأربعة بعد وفاة والده، فعمل لفترة كمعد برامج تلفزيونية، قبل أن تأتيه الفرصة من خلال فيلم (رسالة من امرأة مجهولة) عام 1962 والذي كان بمثابة بدايته السنيمائية.

ثم تتالت أعماله ما بين السينما والتلفزيون، وأحد أهم أدواره كان في فيلم (الأرض) عام 1970 من إخراج يوسف شاهين.

ومن أبرز أعماله (الطريق إلى إيلات، أهل القمة، المنصورية، التوت والنبوت)، وفي المسرح شارك في عدة مسرحيات من أهمها (أهلا يا بكوات، ثورة قرية).
