ألجيريان إكسبرس: وقّع الرئيس الأمريكي، جو بايدن، مشروع قانون لخطة مساعدات اقتصادية بقيمة 1.9 تريليون دولار للمواطنين الأمريكيين المتضررين من جائحة فيروس كورونا المستجد.

وذكرت وسائل الإعلام الأمريكية أن مشروع القانون الموقع يتضمن دعما ومساعدة مالية مباشرة بقيمة 1400 دولار أمريكي، بالإضافة إلى إعانات البطالة وإعفاءات ضريبية للعائلات الفقيرة.

وبمناسبة التوقيع على القانون، صرح الرئيس جو بايدن، قائلا إن “حزمة الإنقاذ والمساعدة ستقوم على إعادة الثقة وبناء العمود الفقري لهذه البلاد ومجتمعها”.

ويعد مشروع القانون الموقع أحد أكبر القوانين في تاريخ الولايات المتحدة، حيث كان الكونغرس قد أقره بتصويت جميع النواب الديمقراطيين لصالحه دون مؤيد جمهوري واحد.

ومن المقرر أن يلقي بايدن خطابا في وقت لاحق، عن بنود القانون، فضلا عن إقامة حفل توقيع في البيت الأبيض مع ديمقراطيين آخرين يوم الجمعة.
