نشرت السفارة الأمريكية بالجزائر فيديوا للسفير الامريكي جان ديسروشر و هو يهنئ الشعب الجزائري و الامة الاسلامية  بحلول شهر رمضان. كما اغتم السفير الفرصة للتحدث عن كيفية استقبال الشعب الجزائري للشهر الفضيل و طريقة تزيين و اعداد مائدة  فطور رمضان الذي اعتبرها بالخاصة.

كما أشاد السفير بالقيم الرمضانية التي تجمع الآلاف من الصائمين على اختلاف جنسياتهم وخلفياتهم المادية ومكانتهم الاجتماعية حول موائد الإفطار في أجواء تعكس القيم الرمضانية من التضامن والمساواة و”التي هي ضرورية في الوقت الراهن”.
