اختطفت مجموعة من المسلحين، عددا من الفتيات من مدرسة في شمال غرب نيجيريا ليلة الخميس إلى الجمعة.
وقال مدرس لوكالة فرانس برس:”أكثر من 300 فتاة مازلن مفقودات بعد عملية الخطف الجماعي الجديدة لأطفال من أجل الحصول على فدية.”

وقال والد إحدى الفتيات المختطفات: “وأنا على الطريق إلى جانغيبي، تلقيت اتصالاً لإبلاغي بأن قطاع الطرق خطفوا تلاميذ”.

وخطف 42 طفلا في ولاية النيجر في وسط غرب نيجيريا الأسبوع الماضي، وأكثر من 300 آخرين في بداية ديسمبر في ولاية كاتسينا.

وتسبب هذا العنف الإجرامي في مقتل أكثر من ثمانية آلاف شخص منذ 2011 وأجبر أكثر من مئتي ألف من سكان المنطقة على الفرار من منازلهم، حسب تقرير لمجموعة الأزمات الدولية نُشر في ماي 2020.
