كشف تقرير كوري عن عزم شركتي ”أبل“ الأمريكية و“هيونداي“ الكورية، إطلاق مشروع للسيارات الكهربائية ذاتية القيادة، على أن يبدأ الإنتاج في 2024، بعد مباحثات مبكرة جرت بين الجانبين.

وبحسب تقرير فإن ”هيونداي وأبل تخططان لإطلاق نسخة تجريبية من سيارة أبل الكهربائية في العام المقبل، وأن هيونداي تلقت طلبات للتعاون من مختلف الشركات لتطوير السيارات الكهربائية ذاتية القيادة.

وأشار التقرير، أن ”الشركة خططت لبناء السيارات في مصنع كيا موتورز في جورجيا، أو الاستثمار بشكل مشترك في مصنع جديد في أمريكا لإنتاج 100 ألف سيارة نحو عام 2024، على أن تكون السعة السنوية الكاملة للمصنع المقترح 400 ألف سيارة“.

وتشير التوقعات إلى أن سيارة ”أبل“ يمكن أن تكون كهربائية بالكامل، وتتميز بمستوى معين من التكنولوجيا شبه المستقلة لمنافسة تيسلا، وقد تتضمن تقنية البطاريات الخاصة بها، التي من شأنها أن تخفض التكاليف بشكل جذري وتطيل مسافة القيادة عبر شحنة واحدة.
