يستقبل ميناء بورتسودان السوداني، سفينتين حربيتين أمريكيتين، وذلك للمرة الأولى منذ 25 عاما.

ونقل موقع “السوداني”، عن مصدر مطلع، قوله إن الزيارة تأتي في إطار تعزيز واستدامة رسالة السلام والصداقة وحفظ أمن خطوط النقل والملاحة البحرية في حوض البحر الأحمر.

وأضاف المصدر في تصريحاته أن الزيارة تأتي أيضا لتمتين العلاقة العسكرية في المجالات البحرية بين البلدين.

وأشار إلى أن “الزيارة تعد الأولى للبحرية الأمريكية للموانئ السودانية، استشرافا لعهد جديد يتسم بتعاون عسكري وسياسي بين واشنطن والخرطوم”.

وأوضح المصدر أن هذه الزيارة هي الأولى منذ خمسة وعشرين عاما، وتأتي تعزيزا لعلاقات البلدين في المجالات الأمنية والسياسية.

وقال المصدر إن الملحق العسكري الأمريكي وصل، أمس، إلى بورتسودان للوقوف على الترتيبات النهائية لوصول القطعتين الأولى عبارة عن سفينة استطلاع، والثانية مدمرة حربية تصل يوم الاثنين المقبل الأول من مارس/آذار، ومن المنتظر أن يشارك في استقبالها القائم بالأعمال الأمريكي في السودان وعدد من المسؤولين.
