كشفت منظمة الصحة العالمية، أمس الأحد، إنها لم تسجل حتى الآن، أي تأثير لسلالة فيروس كورونا الجديدة، على معدل الوفيات.
وأوردت سيلفي برياند، مديرة قسم الأوبئة في المنظمة: “ليس هناك ما يثير الدهشة فيما يحدث الآن، لأن الفيروسات يمكن أن تتحور”.

وأضافت ذات المسؤولة: “هناك حاجة إلى مزيد من الدراسات لفهم، هل تغير تأثير فيروس كورونا على البشر”.

وتابعت الخبيرة: “من المستبعد أن يكون للسلالة الجديدة من الفيروس، أي تأثير على قدرة اللقاح”.

وشددت ممثلة الصحة العالمية، على عدم الخضوع للذعر.

وأعربت ذات المتحدثة، عن اعتقادها بأن الإجراءات التي اتخذتها بريطانيا ستسمح بكبح انتشار الطفرة الجديدة من كوفيد-19.
