شرعت وزارة الصحة والسكان وإصلاح المستشفيات ومفوضية الاتحاد الأوربي وبرنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي في الجزائر، أمس الأربعاء، في تنفيذ مشروع الاستجابة التضامنية الأوروبية ضد كوفيد-19 في الجزائر.

وأوضحت مفوضية الاتحاد الأوروبي بالجزائر في بيان لها أن المشروع يتمثل في اتفاقية تمويل تبلغ قيمتها 43 مليون أورو، موجهة لدعم مجهودات الحكومة الجزائرية في احتواء انتشار وباء كوفيد-19 على المستوى الوطني.

وقال وزير الصحة عبد الرحمان بن بوزيد في هذا السياق: “إننا نقدر هذه المبادرة الأوروبية الهامة والقيمة والتضامنية تجاه الجزائر ولمنظومتها الصحية، وللجهود التي تبذلها السلطات العمومية منذ عدة أشهر من أجل احتواء انتشار هذا الوباء العالمي والتخفيف من عواقبه المتعددة”.

من جهته، أعرب سفير الاتحاد الأوروبي في الجزائر، جون أورورك، عن ارتياحه لانطلاق هذا المشروع، قائلا: “إن هذه المبادرة التضامنية علامة على الصداقة القائمة بين الجزائر وبلدان أوروبا”.

وتابع: “إنها توفر دعما ماديا ملموسا للعاملين في السلك الطبي والمرضى المصابين بوباء كوفيد 19، ونحن سنكون أقوى معاً ضد الوباء”.
