ارتفع الإقبال على تناول حليب الحمير في ألبانيا مع انتشار مزاعم وسط السكان حول دوره في الحماية من الإصابة بفيروس كورونا.

ويلقى حليب الحمير إقبالا كبيرا بالرغم من سعره المرتفع إلى 50 يورو لليتر الواحد في بلد بالكاد يبلغ متوسط الأجر الشهري فيه 400 يورو.

ويقول المواطن الألباني إلتون كيكيا، الذي ترك قبل سنتين عمله في الصحافة ليتفرغ للعمل في المزرعة العائلية الصغيرة في بلدة بابر إن “الطلب على حليب الأتان، وهي أنثى الحمار، شهد ارتفاعا شديدا، خصوصا خلال الأشهر الأخيرة في ظل ازدياد الإصابات” التي تخطت 45 ألفا في ألبانيا.

ولا يزال إنتاج حليب الحمير هامشيا في ألبانيا وهو يقتصر على مزرعتين فيهما بضع عشرات من الحمير.

وتضم ألبانيا نحو 50 ألف حمار، بحسب تقديرات صحفية وبسبب التصحر في الريف والتمدد الحضري وتحديث الأنماط الزراعية، تتراجع أعداد الحمير بشدة في البلد منذ سنوات، وفق معهد الإحصاءات.
