تراجعت أسعار النفط اليوم مسجلة أكبر هبوط خلال يوم واحد منذ يونيو الماضي، إذ أذكت سلالة جديدة سريعة الانتشار من كورونا في بريطانيا وتشديد القيود في أوروبا مخاوف حيال تعافي الطلب.

وانخفض خام “برنت” بنسبة 5.45% إلى 49.41 دولار للبرميل، بحلول الساعة 14:05 بتوقيت موسكو، في حين تراجع خام “غرب تكساس الوسيط “الأمريكي بنسبة 5.87% إلى 46.18 دولار للبرميل.

وقال جيوفاني ستونوفو المحلل لدى “يو بي إس”: إن “التقارير عن سلالة جديدة من فيروس كورونا أثرت على الشهية للمخاطرة والنفط. القيود الجديدة على التنقل في جميع أنحاء أوروبا لا تساعد أيضا وسيتأثر الطلب الأوروبي على النفط”.

وأضاف “يتعين على المستثمرين إدراك أن الطريق إلى ارتفاع الطلب على النفط والأسعار سيظل وعرا”.

تجاوز خام برنت حاجز 50 دولارا الأسبوع الماضي للمرة الأولى منذ مارس الماضي وسط تفاؤل ناجم عن طرح لقاحات كوفيد-19.

لكن سلالة جديدة من كوفيد-19، يقال إنها أكثر قابلية للانتقال بنسبة تصل إلى 70% عن السلالة الأصلية، دفعت الدول الأوروبية وإسرائيل وكندا إلى إغلاق حدودها أمام القادمين من بريطانيا.
