حظرت وزارة التنمية الريفية الموريتانية استيراد الدواجن من الجزائر، بعد تقرير المنظمة العالمية للصحة الحيوانية يؤكد ظهور صنف شديد الخطورة من أنفلونزا الطيور في الجزائر.

وأكدت الوزارة في رسالة موجهة للجهات المختصة على ضرورة تعزيز المراقبة على المنافذ البرية خاصة مع الجزائر، من خلال ميناء نواكشوط ومطار أم التونسي الدولي لمنع أي استيراد للداوجن من الجزائر.

وأشار المصدر ذاته أن القرار تم اتخاذه لكون عوامل عديدة يمكن أن تساهم في انتشار فيروس أنفلونزا الطيور، بما في ذلك المبادلات التجارية ومختلف ممارسات التسويق، ومن خلال مداجن التربية وعبر الطيور البرية.
