الجيريان اكسبرس: أعلن الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة أنطونيو غوتيريش عن رصد أعلى نسبة وفيات في العالم بسبب فيروس كورونا في مدينة عدن اليمنية، واصفا الوضع في البلاد بـ “المأساوي”.

وقال غوتيريش خلال مؤتمر صحفي له، اليوم الخميس، إنه “لا يوجد بلد أكثر عرضة للخطر من اليمن. وفي عدن لدينا أعلى نسبة وفيات بسبب كوفيد-19، حيث يموت 17% من المصابين”

وأشار الأمين العام إلى أن مؤتمرا للمانحين سيعقد قريبا، وأعرب عن أمله بأن يظهر المجتمع الدولي التضامن مع الشعب اليمني ويمول المساعدات بالحجم المطلوب.

وحسب آخر المعطيات التي نشرتها اللجنة الوطنية العليا لمواجهة وباء كورونا، التابعة لحكومة الرئيس عبد ربه منصور هادي في اليمن، فإن عدد الإصابات بفيروس كورونا في البلاد وصل إلى 278 حالة، فيما بلغت حصيلة الوفيات 57 شخصا.
