قال مسؤول كبير في منظمة الصحة العالمية، اليوم الجمعة، إن مخاطر إيبولا “عالية جدا” بالنسبة لجيران غينيا، وإن بعض تلك الدول ليست مستعدة لحملات التطعيم.

وأوضح ممثل منظمة الصحة العالمية في غينيا، جورج ألفريد كي-زيربو، في إفادة إعلامية افتراضية، أنه تم حتى الآن تحديد 18 حالة إصابة بالفيروس، توفى منهم 4 أشخاص، لأول مرة منذ عام 2016.

وحتى الآن، تم تطعيم 1604 شخصا ضد الإيبولا في الموجة الجديدة من المرض هناك.

يشار إلى أن مرض إيبولا، هو عبارة عن عدوى فيروسية حادة تصيب الإنسان وبعض أنواع الحيوانات. وكان وباء إيبولا قد انتشر في غرب إفريقيا في عام 2015، وأصاب 3 بلدان بشكل رئيسي هي، غينيا وسيراليون وليبيريا.
