أكد قائد “الجيش الليبي” المشير خليفة حفتر دعم القوات المسلحة لعملية السلام في البلاد وسعيها للحفاظ على الديمقراطية والتداول السلمي للسلطات.

جاء ذلك خلال اجتماع عقده حفتر في مكتبه في بنغازي اليوم الخميس مع محمد المنفي، رئيس المجلس الرئاسي الليبي الجديد، الذي وصل المدينة في وقت سابق اليوم قادما من أثينا.

وعبر حفتر عن دعم الجيش للمجلس الرئاسي الجديد وحكومة الوحدة الوطنية التي أنتجها الحوار السياسي لتوحيد المؤسسات والوصول بالبلاد إلى الانتخابات المنتظرة في ديسمبر المقبل.

وكان المنفي تعهد فور انتخابه بأن يكون المجلس الرئاسي ممثلا لكل الليبيين، دون تمييز أو إقصاء، مجددا التزامه بمواعيد الانتخابات في ديسمبر، وإنجاز المصالحة الوطنية.
