يصادق البرلمان التركي الثلاثاء، على مذكرة قدمتها الرئاسة في 12 ديسمبر الجاري لتمديد مهام القوات التركية في ليبيا وأفغانستان، لمدة 18 شهرا إضافيا، اعتبارا من 2 يناير 2021.

ووفق وكالة أنباء “الأناضول” فإن “المذكرة الرئاسية تشير إلى أن الجهود التي بدأتها ليبيا عقب أحداث فبراير 2011، لبناء مؤسسات ديمقراطية، ذهبت سدى بسبب النزاعات المسلحة التي أدت إلى ظهور هيكلية إدارية مجزأة في البلاد”.

وأضافت الوكالة أن “ليبيا وتركيا وقعتا في 27 نوفمبر 2019، مذكرتي تفاهم تتعلقان بالتعاون الأمني والعسكري، وتحديد مناطق الصلاحية البحرية، بهدف حماية حقوق البلدين المنبثقة عن القانون الدولي”، مشيرة إلى أنه “تنفيذا لمذكرة التعاون الأمني، تدعم تركيا الحكومة الليبية في مواجهة مليشيا اللواء الانقلابي خليفة حفتر، المدعومة من دول عربية وأوروبية، والتي تنازع الحكومة على الشرعية والسلطة في البلد الغني بالنفط”.
