أكدت وزارة الدفاع الإيرانية يوم الجمعة، مقتل رئيس مركز الأبحاث والتكنولوجيا في الوزارة محسن فخري زاده، في عملية اغتيال وصفتها بـ”الإرهابية”.

وتضاربت معلومات وسائل الإعلام الإيرانية حول العملية، فبينما قالت وكالة فارس إن العالم النووي الإيراني محسن فخري زاده قتل بإطلاق نار في العاصمة طهران، قالت وكالة تسنيم إن فخري زاده لا يزال في غرفة العمليات في محاولة لإنقاذ حياته.

لكن وزارة الدفاع الإيرانية أكدت في بيان لها أن “عناصر إرهابية مسلحة هاجمت ظهر الجمعة، سيارة تقل محسن فخري زاده رئيس مركز الأبحاث والتكنولوجيا بوزارة الدفاع. وأثناء الاشتباك بين فريقه الأمني والإرهابيين، أصيب السيد محسن فخري زاده بجروح خطيرة ونقل إلى المستشفى. وللأسف لم ينجح الفريق الطبي في إحيائه، ومنذ دقائق قليلة نال هذا المدير والعالم بعد سنوات من الجهد والنضال درجة الشهادة الرفيعة”.
