الجيريان اكسبرس: انكمش الاقتصاد البريطاني بوتيرة قياسية بلغت 20.4 بالمئة في أبريل بسبب إجراءات الإغلاق التي فرضتها المملكة المتحدة للحد من تفشي فيروس كورونا المستجد.

وقال مكتب الإحصاءات الوطنية البريطاني إنه مقارنة مع أبريل من العام الماضي، انكمش الاقتصاد بنسبة 24.5 بالمئة.
كما أكدت الأرقام الرسمية انكماش الناتج المحلي الإجمالي 10.4 بالمئة في ثلاثة أشهر من هذا العام وحتى أبريل، مقارنة مع الأشهر الثلاثة السابقة.

وبحسب البيانات، فإن الهبوط في الناتج المحلي الإجمالي البريطاني خلال أبريل كان “الانكماش الأكبر” في تاريخ البلاد منذ بدء رصد السجلات في عام 1997، كما أنه كان 3 مرات أكبر من الهبوط في مارس وتقريبا 10 مرات أكبر من الانكماش الأكثر حدة المسجل في فترة ما قبل وباء “كوفيد-19”.

وتظهر البيانات أن الهبوط سيطر على أداء كافة القطاعات من الخدمات والإنتاج والصناعة والبناء خلال أبريل الماضي على أساس شهري.
